Frequently asked questions
If your pet becomes unwell while you’re away, I’ll act as quickly and calmly as I can. I’ll follow your vet instructions, contact your named vet or emergency vet, and keep you updated. Please make sure you’ve shared your vet’s details, any out-of-hours contact, and all medication instructions before your booking.
A typical visit includes fresh food and water, litter tray cleaning or a toilet break, cuddles and play where your pet wants it, and small home tasks such as moving post, bringing in parcels or tidying up after mess. I also send updates and photos where I can. For dogs, an hour-long visit can include a short 10-15 minute walk if we agree that at booking.
My rates for all dog walking include up to two dogs at once. Any additional dogs would require a second booking.
I offer a free 15-minute meet and greet for new bookings. It’s best booked at least 24 hours before your first visit, and it gives us a chance to meet you and your pet, go through routines, and show me where everything is kept. It’s a simple way to make sure your booking feels smooth and reassuring from the start.
Yes. All walks are on lead as default. This would only change after discussion & agreement with the pet owner. Off lead walking will only take place in a secure environment or only once I am confident that the dog will recall for me.
I mostly care for cats and dogs, but I also offer visits for smaller pets such as rodents, birds and fish. If you have a different kind of pet, just get in touch and I’ll let you know whether I can help and how I would tailor the visit.
Dogs and Cats are very different types of pets! Whilst cats are more than happy to be independent as long as they have food, water and the occasional cuddle, dogs can be slightly different.
It is important to consider your dogs temperament, experience with being left home alone and need for toileting and exercise before booking my services for home visits. I would generally only recommend my hour long visits for dogs. I would also suggest that more than one visit a day is booked. It is likely that this service is not suitable for many dogs, however there will be certain dogs that this will be perfect for.
My hour long home visit service for dogs includes a 15 minute walk if required so that your dog can get the exercise needed.
My services can be booked more than once a day so this may be something to consider.
Please get in touch with me if you wish to book a longer time slot so that I can adapt my schedule to suit if possible.
Please note that I reserve the right to cancel bookings if I feel that the service is not suitable/safe for your dog after discussing with you. The animals safety and comfort always comes first.
Yes - I offer regular dog walking at a reduced rate. I offer:
Short walks (up to 20 minutes) - once or twice weekly.
Long walks (45 minutes) - once or twice weekly.
Please visit the regular dog walking plans page to find out more and book.
These are billed monthly and the subscription can be cancelled at any time.
I can give oral medication, and I’m happy to discuss other medication needs at your meet and greet. If your pet needs a more specialised method, I may ask to see you give it first so I can make sure I can do it safely and confidently. Please include full instructions in your booking form.
